Hunting Vests

Is it safe to wash blaze orange and camo at the same time?
Well I'm going to wash my hunting suits. I was wondering if it is safe to wash a full body realtree camo suit at the same time as a blaze orange hat and a blaze orange vest. Please respond.
Not an easy answer here.
I do all my laundry myself and I also do a lot of hunting in both upland outfits (mostly tan) and complete blaze orange.
The real answer is - it depends on how the clothing was dyed. I've bouth some dark red dress shirts that I washed in cold water (so they would not fade) and looked in at the load and the water looked blood red! Good thing I didn't put anything in with the shirt! I also had a similar experience with a red sweater - the sweater seemed to maintain its color but the water was completely red!
Just to be safe, I would suggest that you wash your hunting outfits in two seperate loads. All new clothes MUST have a tag on it that explains how it should be washed and cared for. I generally like to wash things like you mention in COLD water to keep the colors from bleeding and to also keep the fabric from shrinking.
